Tesco, Waitrose and Holland Barrett issue product recalls including pork scratchings and pasta

Two major supermarkets and a leading health food chain have all issued recalls on certain products they sell.

Tesco and Waitrose stores and health food chain Holland and Barrett have issued the recalls, meaning customers must return any of the highlighted products if they purchased them recently.

The safety warnings have been issued by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), so it is important that people check their cupboards and refrigerators for any of the following items purchased at retail outlets.

Some of the products that have been recalled contain salmonella, while others contain undeclared tree nuts, the Food Standards Agency said.

The Food Standards Agency is publicly sharing details about what people should do if they have purchased an item highlighted when a product has been recalled, for whatever reason. It also gives detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Here are all the products that were recalled last week.

waitrose

Waitrose is recalling Waitrose Prosciutto Cappelletti and Waitrose Essentials Cheese and Smoked Ham Tortelloni due to the undeclared presence of pistachios (nuts).

This means that the products pose a potential health risk to anyone with a pistachio (nut) allergy.

Waitrose Essentials Cheese and Smoked Ham Tortelloni

If you have purchased any of the above products and are allergic to pistachios (nuts), do not eat them.

Instead, return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.

Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhea and abdominal cramps
