OPPO launches new flagship lineup, claims X5 better night video

Chinese smartphone vendor OPPO has launched its new flagship line of devices, with the Find X5 series featuring its new neural processing unit which it says will help overcome issues that hinder video recording at night.

However, pricing and availability in Australia will not be available until an unspecified later date. According to another websiteprices should start at around $780.

The company, part of giant BBK Electronics, said in a statement that the new NPU, known as MariSilicon X, will improve quality with its 6nm architecture, real-time RAW processing and 4K AI performance. up to 20 times faster.

Another new feature in the X5 range is the Hasselblad camera for mobile, an addition made possible thanks to OPPO to attach with the German company that was announced earlier this month.

The focus on providing a better camera is a natural result of OPPO’s decision to try to change Apple users, after the US vendor checked in very good sales in China.

There are three devices in the X5 lineup: the Find X5 Pro, Find X5, and Find X5 Lite. The Pro device is built on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, while the X5 uses the Snapdragon 888 and the X5 Lite uses a MediaTek Dimensity 900.

The 5,000mAh battery is standard and with 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charging technology, the company claims the X5 Pro can be charged from nearly empty to 50 per cent in 12 minutes. Wireless charging is supposed to reach 100% in 47 minutes. Charging times for the other two models were not specified.

The X5 lineup will come with ColorOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12.
