Amber Portwood and Matt Baier talk after Teen Mom house scenes
teen mom Amber Portwood’s ex, Matt Baier, is looking to get back into the media spotlight by finally telling his side of the story about the couple’s failed relationship. Matt revealed this week that he recently spoke with Amber, and it looks like his “say it all” will be in the form of a single interview.
However, don’t think for a second that Matt is going to throw Amber under the bus! In Matt’s way, it looks like his side of the story will be very pro-Amber. (Should we start the official countdown to Amber and Matt Part 2?)
Matt and Amber’s reconnection came after a scene from Teen Mom: The Next Chapter showed the interior of the house that Amber’s other ex, Andrew Glennon, lived in until earlier this year. Living conditions were deplorable, with urine stains and random objects strung throughout the house.
The scene interested Matt because the house was the same as the one he and Amber lived in during their unhappy time together.
A teen mom The viewer tweeted her support for Amber after the scene aired. “My heart breaks for @AmberLPortwood, I really love that she had the support of @ItsGaryTime & @KrissyK01,” @AlishaValerie tweeted Wednesday. “I really hope she finds someone caring and loving to share her life with ♡.”
“I just talked to Amber about the house business,” Matt replied. “It’s the first time we’ve spoken in a long time. It was great to catch up and I think 5 years was long enough not to mention. Matt then revealed that he got approval for a tell-all interview. “She accepted. Only 1 interview. DM me if interested.
Matt Baier after teen mom
Before I get into Matt’s recent tweets about Amber’s potential, I wanted to provide a relatively short update on what he’s been up to since breaking up with Amber Portwood and leaving. OG teen mom. As viewers are likely aware, Matt was surrounded by controversy following his appearance on teen mom has caused many women to come forward claiming that he cheated them and got many of them pregnant before fleeing.
Child support court records initially indicated that Matt has at least seven children from five different womenbut these numbers are supposed to be higher.
Just months after Matt and Amber said their final goodbyes while filming Marriage boot camp in 2017, Matt married a 35-year-old waitress from Las Vegas named Jennifer Conlon. Matt went back to his old ways in get your wife pregnant then leave it. Jennifer filed for divorce in December 2019 and cited “domestic violence” as an issue the court should consider in reaching its decision.
Before Jennifer and Matt’s divorce was finalized, he got engaged again. That relationship ended abruptly, and it’s believed that it may have been because Matt didn’t tell his new fiancée that he was still married. Or maybe she discovered her 8+ children from at least six different women?
Getting back to the divorce, here is Jennifer’s response to the section of the form asking what the proposed custody and visitation schedule for Matt will be with respect to their son, Christian:
No contact, Matthew has never been with Christian, I am raising him. Matthew showed no interest. He is also financially unfit. I am requesting full and sole primary physical custody.
Jennifer was granted full custody of their son. Initially, she did not seek any child support, but this was later reviewed after receiving government assistance. The revised child support case was filed in August 2021 and finalized in November 2021. It requires Matt to pay the bare minimum of $85 per month in child support.
#TeenMomOG Amber Portwood’s ex Matt Baier had a tough few years in Sin City! In addition to his wife (and mother of his one-year-old son) filing for divorce in December, he’s also been evicted twice and sued by multiple cash advance companies for cash. #DirtyMatt 🤦🏻♀️ https://t.co/KLiEjyVZIQ pic.twitter.com/BEqeUOpxb3

Matt Baier reunites with Amber Portwood
Matt’s tweet about talking with Amber sparked a series of Twitter interactions between Matt and his followers. I have collected most of the interactions here for you. (Matt also spoke about his ongoing battle with addiction – something he’s we’ve been talking about it for a very long time. I omitted those comments.)
TWEET: Good for you both! She needs a support system and your presence helps!
MAST: What she needs is someone who actually knows the real her to talk to. Ppl see a small sample of reality star lives. What is shown is what sells. I promised not to talk unless she agreed. So if people want to hear it, I’m ready. 1 time only. If they don’t, that’s fine too
TWEET: I’m confused? Amber wants you to tell her story? Or yours?
MAST: No, Amber doesn’t want anyone else to speak for her. That being said, I still haven’t said anything these days. Ppl ask all the time and i always said no. Maybe it’s time to give some facts that people don’t know or think they know.
TWEET: I just heard a voice from Minnesota shout, “YOU WERE MY CONTENT FIRST!” Lol, I’m glad you spoke. Amber is misunderstood, imo.
MAST: I don’t understand this reference at all (so let’s drop that lol). The house thing really bothered me, so we communicated in a friendly way. No hard feelings at all.
TWEET: Did Andrew live there or had he sublet it?
MAST: Is my understanding [wasn’t subletted]. It is to my knowledge.
TWEET: Best to drop it. It’s indescribable. But it’s great that you are real adults and can have a good conversation. It’s admirable, and it’s nice when you’ve spent time with someone and can make it up to you in a pleasant way. Good example.
MAST: I firmly believe that if you share time with someone, the negative is hidden and they deserve your respect. Just because things are over doesn’t mean you have something to fight years later. Wounds heal and new doors open.
MAST: I have no bad feelings towards anyone. I have fond memories of all the interactions I’ve had with people over the years. Cast, crew, families and fans of the series. The negatives, I can’t even remember. I love my life and I wouldn’t change it now so I have no regrets.
TWEET: Nothing to admire lol. Two narcissistic individuals who need supply at the same time lol. They will be another train wreck in the end, even if only in friendship.
MAST: Amber and me? To say that we are friends would be wrong. To say that the 1st communication we’ve had in nearly 6 years was civilian would be accurate. Is politeness in conversation a bad thing? Asking about a ransacked house we owned together is normal behavior. But you are entitled to your opinion.
TWEET: Your narcissism and pathological lying are incurable.
MAST: You literally don’t know anything about me but you are entitled to your opinion. Oh you wanna know WHY you don’t know about me? Bc I don’t bother to “defend myself” bc stuff wasn’t business then and it still isn’t. Enjoy your night.
TWEET: Just another Cowboy keyboard. Keep being you and keep fending off the enemies!
MAST: Honestly, I don’t mind bro. I give people a pass because I obviously know things about these situations that they don’t. I have no problem with people having opinions.
MAST: However, I will say this. When it comes to reality TV. Ppl like to say they like to watch the train wreck. They encourage him. That’s why they watch. Then when the train accident happens, they judge the behavior of the people driving the train.

MAST: Someone just suggested I go to Instagram Live and talk. Well to those of you making this suggestion I would like to point out that I don’t know how lol Ty for the suggestion anyway. #socialmediainept
TWEET: I will help you if you ever decide to do so!
MAST: Thanks, but doing an Instagram live doesn’t sound like fun to me. I wouldn’t even want to watch it lol.
MAST: IG live? Is this the way to go? Idk to talk or not to talk, that is the question
TWEET: You know I’m really rooting for her, but it never ends. It’s 1 thing after another. She punched Gary on camera, we all saw it. People say she’s misunderstood, no she’s not. She chooses not to do the things she needs to do for her sanity. So tired of hearing that.
MAST: I think those are all fair points. However, do you leave open the possibility that there may be more to certain situations than the general public can see? Not talking about anything, just saying the 5 minute clip doesn’t tell a full story. Accept?
TWEET: Serious question…did she agree that it had been too long or/and that she was cool with this interview solicitation…?
MAST: It was not a serious interview solicitation. I promise you I don’t have to ask for an interview lol. I just choose to do them infrequently. I was asked about the house by several people and was shocked to find out it was true. I asked Amber if it was real. Not that much anymore. Good night.
TWEET: I kinda thought that… it was just kind of nice to hear you guys reconnect and there was some mutual respect…;) Happy Holidays…
MAST: Happy Holidays to you and to you too. It’s been almost 6 years. There’s respect there (I don’t know if it’s mutual) but I respect the person I knew as my friend. With anyone, I encourage people to hate the behavior but NEVER hate the person. Ty for reaching out.
